SERVICES

TRAINING:
Black Star Equestrian offers a full training and care package in Silverado Canyon to better serve your needs.

Full & Partial Training including afternoon snack of A&M mixed with client supplied SmartPak supplements, turn out, lunging or hand walking. Blanketing A.M. & P.M.  Laundry service includes baby pads and polo wraps once per week. Blankets should be laundered by client.  We also offer individual lessons and schooling sessions for customers not in training. See below for pricing.

Full Training: At Carbondale Ranch: $650 per month includes: Three lessons per week and up to three professional rides per week on Clients Horse. 

Partial Training: At Carbondale Ranch: $500 per month includes: Three lessons per week on Clients Horse

LESSON PROGRAM

Private Lessons: $60 on Black Star Equestrian lesson horse/pony

Private Lessons: $55 on Client's horse

Semi Private Lessons: $55 , two or more clients (must be same skill level)

Haul-In Fee of $25 payable to facility at time of lesson

*Black Star Equestrian has a select number of small and medium ASTM Certified helmets for use during your lesson. Please check availability on sizing.

Black Star Equestrian lesson students should invest in their safety. Helmet, half chaps, paddock boots and gloves should be purchased within a reasonable amount of time. Kristy will assist you in choosing the right purchase for you.

HORSE SHOW CHARGES:
Checks for entries, grooming and braiding are required in advance for each horse show. Feed, bedding, show supplies, tack stalls, set-up, etc. are split by the number of horses.

Day fee: Includes show rides, schooling and coaching. Horses in full training are charged for schooling days and competition. Horses not in full training, but stabled with Black Star Equestrian, are charged each day horse is at show.

Grooming: Day fee plus tip. Paid directly to groom.

Trainer & Groom Expenses: Includes hotel, transportation and meals split by the number of horses.

Show Rides for horses not in training or stabled with Black Star Equestrian: Charged per day.

Schooling: Charged per day for days horse is not shown.

Ground help for horses not in training or stabled with Black Star Equestrian: Charged per day.

SALES, PURCHASES AND LEASES

COMMISSION: 15% of sale, purchase, or lease price (full term)

EXPENSE REIMBURSEMENT: Client is responsible for reimbursing Black Star Equestrian for all expenses incurred, whether or not a transaction is consummated. These expenses may include, but are not limited to; postage, FedEx, telephone calls, videotapes/DVD's, all advertising, fuel (IRS 2008 rate of $.50.5 cents per mile), hauling, vet fees, daily stall fees, training fees, etc.

TRAVEL COSTS: Client is responsible for payments of all travel costs; including transportation, lodging, food, etc, whether or not a transaction is consummated. Trainer will charge a $100 a day per diem when traveling to look for horses for the client (plus IRS 2008 rate of $.50.5 cents per mile). A 50% refund will be given and applied to the trainer’s commission when a horse is purchased or sold. This per diem does not apply went horses are local or are being tried at a horse show.
